Facilities Overview

After 24 years, Top Dog Country Club is still that “one-of-a-kind gem,” nestled on 39 acres just 20 minutes west of Lake Minnetonka. It has always been and still is “All About The Dogs,” where they are the #1 criteria for every decision we make. That unbreakable promise makes business decisions simple . . . If it does not benefit the dogs, it is probably unnecessary. In the fresh air of this beautiful country setting, away from traffic, exhaust, and city noise, at the end of Vega Avenue, you will find me living my passion.

With my team of canine care staff with a ratio of 1 human per 8 dogs, we care for our guests, ages 8 weeks to 19 years. We are on a tight schedule that prioritizes what dogs want and need most . . . lots of fresh air, exercise, socialization with other dogs, and mental stimulation.

The Suites

Our guests stay in suites… not kennels.

  • The floors are stone with in-floor hot water heat. The walls have a plaster texture on three sides. The front has a custom gate so they can see the dogs across the hall.

  • The ceilings are 9 ft. high, and there are windows in many of the suites.

  • In addition, there is music piped in 24/7: classical, blues, jazz, and more.

  • Our guests sleep on wrought-iron bed frames with upholstered beds. They are welcome to bring anything they want from home to add to their suite and make them more comfortable.

  • The suites are generously sized, ranging from 4’x4’ to 5′ x 12′, with 9 ft. ceilings. We also offer family suites for multiple-dog families, ensuring everyone has ample space to stay together.
